Trying to plan your wedding, but have no idea where to start?

Introducing....

Hi! I'm Amanda Jean,
former DIY Bride turned online wedding designer/educator and
this is how I easily guide engaged couples through the wedding planning process.

When I was planning my own wedding,
I was completely overwhelmed with all the decisions and how to know where to start with my wedding planning.

I spent countless hours doing things out of order and focusing my time on the wrong things.

True to my type-A personality, I persisted and was able to plan and design my own wedding (on BUDGET!),
without paying thousands for a wedding coordinator or planner.

In 2019 I launched Gathered Here Designs in 2019 to be able to bring
what I've learned about wedding planning and design to other
DIY wedding couples.

I know first hand how overwhelming it can feel to start your wedding planning,
but it doesn't have to be.

All you need is a solid place to start and someone who has been there
to guide you along the way.

That's where I come in!!!

I've spent years of time, thousands of dollars, and have made countless mistakes (so now you don't have to!) learning how to:

  • Know which key wedding decisions to make first
  • Save time and money with a focused plan
  • Start with the planning before design details
  • Customize a wedding plan to meet the needs of the couple
  • Prioritize budget in a way that makes sense to the specific wedding

I've taken all this knowledge and put it into a step-by-step course for newly engaged couples.

I'm opening the doors my exact stress-free wedding planning approach,
so I can help other DIY wedding couples learn and implement my process, so they can have an easy wedding planning experience that's on budget and leaves them with more time to celebrate being engaged!

Introducing

A step-by-step digital course that guides newly engaged couples

through exactly what key decisions to make first in order to

successfully plan their own wedding.

This course includes videos walking you through key wedding planning decisions as well as detailed lesson guides and PDFs to help make your

DIY wedding planning a success!

I made a lot of mistakes with my own wedding planning...

X- At first, I felt like I had no idea where to start.

I was trying to piece together a list of decisions to make and

a timeline for when everything needed to be decided based on what I read online and

in wedding magazines. Since I wasn't in a place financially to be able to spend thousands

of dollars for a wedding planner, I just kept reading all the information I could find to try to put together a plan of where to start.

Secret #1 - It's easy to get distracted with the fun wedding decisions like colors and decor,

but if you don't make certain key decisions first, you can end up wasting both time and $$$.

When I narrowed down the key decisions that need to happen first,

wedding planning for family, friends, and future clients became so much easier!

X - I felt like all my time was going to wedding planning.

My engagement was fairly short (less than 6 months).

I spent hours and hours of time searching online for free advice, checklists, and downloads.

Then I'd spend even more time flipping through wedding magazines. I spent countless hours doing things out of order and focusing my time on the wrong things. All of this left me feeling completely overwhelmed, stressed, and having no time to

just enjoy being newly engaged.

Secret #2 - The most important thing to do during this time is celebrate your engagement and

make time to enjoy this phase of your life with your partner.

Getting engaged is exciting, it's worth celebrating - no one wants to celebrate with a stressed out overwhelmed human.

By knowing exactly what decisions

need to be made first, you can plan an hour or two here and there to

make those decisions with your partner, instead of dragging out the process for months.

X - I used blanketed advice from industry experts.

When I was planning my wedding, I took everything I read on wedding websites, blogs, and magazines as absolute TRUTH. It left me feeling like I was trying to force my own wedding to fit into these other molds of what the magazines and websites were selling me on.

Secret #3 - Weddings are like snowflakes - they are meant to be unique. Wedding planning and design needs to be adjusted to fit the needs and personality of the couple. There is no one size fits all approach to wedding planning or design. What is most helpful is to have an understanding

of the key decisions you need to make, parameters around how to make them, and the ability to customize things to meet

you and your partner's wedding vision.

So what do I use to create a stress free wedding planning experience?

I learned it's not about the number of decisions you make, but rather making certain key decisions first in the planning process.

Now I can help clients easily go from overwhelmed with no idea where to start to feeling confident and have a
solid foundation for their wedding planning.

By starting with my 3 key decisions, wedding planning becomes easy!

With these 3 decisions made, you and your partner will be able to
have more time to celebrate your engagement and
actually enjoy a stress free wedding planning experience!

Does this sound like you?

1. You feel overwhelmed & have no idea where to start with your wedding planning.

It doesn't have to be this way! I can teach you exactly where to start

and what key decisions to make first.

By making key decisions in order, it will save you time,

money, and help prevent that feeling of overwhelm.

2. You have zero wedding planning experience, but you can't afford to hire a full time wedding planner.

You don't have to be an industry expert to plan your own wedding. When I got married, I was 20 years old (yes, you read that right - I know I was a BABY!), completely broke, had zero experience AND was able to pull it off. Many years later, I've learned so much about how to improve the process so I can help others have an easier wedding planning experience.

I can show you exactly how to get started with your wedding planning journey.

When I planned my own wedding, I had zero experience and the whole process was completely overwhelming.

After planning my own wedding, helping family, friends, and clients with their weddings,

I now have a way to guide couples through wedding planning with a stress free and easy to follow approach.

According to Brides magazine, a full service wedding planner can cost anywhere from $5,000 - $25,000+. I don't know about you, but that is more than the cost of my entire wedding!

I can help get you started on your wedding planning journey,

without breaking your wedding budget!

Here's what past clients I've worked with are saying...

Sam, DIY Bride, Florida

"I highly recommend working with Amanda and Gathered Here Designs! She was able to turn my random ideas into reality, into a real tangible road map... I can't say enough how helpful it was to turn a few ideas into a full image and concept..."

Niko, DIY Bride, Georgia

...She thought of literally everything and laid out even the smallest details of my wedding and how to achieve them...She made my vision come to life!!

Makayla, DIY Bride, Oregon

She helped us tremendously with designing and coordinating our wedding...[and] helped focus all of our DIY wedding projects and made our wedding look cohesive and gorgeous! [She] helped keep us on one track so our wedding was not cluttered or scattered... "

With this course, you will learn...

Module 1

In the first module, I cover the #1 decision to make: Wedding size.

It impacts everything from venue options to budget, which is why I like to start with this key decision.

I will include a easy to follow process to help you and your partner draft 3 versions of your wedding guestlist.

Module 2

Building on the first module, we will move into lesson two: wedding budget. Having a budget created

will actually help make your

wedding planning journey easier.

In the course, I provide a framework to help you get an idea of high ticket items and what average % of the wedding budget couples tend to spend in these areas. I'll also provide a budget tracker to get you and your partner started with your

wedding budget.

Module 3

The final module will cover the last key wedding decision: setting the date! In this module, I will walk you through the pros and cons of the different seasons for your wedding.

I will share how seasons can impact the different components of your wedding date. Finally, we'll review how to prioritize the things that are most important to you and your partner when deciding on your wedding date.

BONUS MODULE!

You will also get this exclusive bonus!!!

Who is this course for?

Newly engaged couples with no idea where to start

If you're newly engaged, congratulations!

This is such an exciting moment of time in your love story. Before you jump into planning, I hope you and your partner take a second to celebrate together.

After celebrating, you might be wondering, "What do we do now?"

That's where I come in!

The wedding planning process can quickly become overwhelming if you have no idea where to start.

The "Engaged 2 Planning" course will help you have a clear picture of exactly where to start with your wedding planning and will guide you through making your key wedding decisions with ease.

DIY wedding couples who are motivated to save money on their wedding

I imagine you already have so much going on in your life,

but you CAN plan your own wedding

without spending thousands of dollars on a full service planner.

I trust you and your partner are fully capable of planning your wedding together, even if you feel you don't have an event planning bone in your body!

Who is this course NOT for?

Couples who are not planning to get married for a few years
You and your partner need to take whatever time you feel is best for your engagement. If that's more than a few years, I applaud that AND you might want to wait on this course. The reason I say that is because a lot can change in a few years (heck, a lot can change in one year!). I would hate for you to do the course now, when you're not planning to get married anytime soon because all the time and energy you put into these key wedding decisions could have different answers in a couple years. This course is really focused on engaged couples who are actively planning to get married in the next 6-18 months. If that's not you, no worries! Enjoy this time together as an engaged couple and when you're ready to start planning, keep this course in mind!

Newly Engaged couples who plan to hire a full service wedding planner
If you are wanting to be hands off with your wedding planning and
are using part of your wedding budget for a full service wedding planner,
this is not the course for you. A full service wedding planner costing anywhere from $5,000-$25,000 will already guide you through how to
make these key decisions and/or they can make them for you.
No need to pay twice for the same information!

Imagine if...

1. You and your partner knew exactly where to start with your wedding plan.

With "Engaged 2 Planning", I will take the guesswork out of your wedding planning journey. I will walk you through the key wedding planning decisions that need to happen first, why they matter, and show you exactly how to finalize your key decisions.

2. Your key wedding decisions were made over one weekend.

Take a moment to think about the amount of time you have been spending scrolling through Pinterest, Instagram, wedding magazines, and blogs just trying to piece together the information you need. Personally, I wasted so much time with my own wedding planning because I didn't know what I needed to focus on. Don't let that happen to you! Take back your time and use it to spend creating memories with your fiancé.

3. You knew exactly how to customize your wedding plan.

Instead of making your wedding plans based on what the internet is telling you to do, learn exactly how to customize your wedding plan to meet the goals of you and your partner. There is no one-size-fits-all answer to the key wedding decisions you and your fiancé need to make. Learn how to prioritize what matters most to you both and walk away with a wedding plan that is truly custom to you and your partner.
